DMV 3rd Party Testing
RST-Rider Skills Test
This option is for experienced riders with a valid motorcycle permit who are looking for 3rd party testing (RST) for the 2-wheel and 3-wheel endorsement.
M endorsement: Allows you to operate two-wheel and three-wheel motorcycles
3 endorsement: Allows you to operate only three-wheel motorcycles
If you are taking an endorsement course (BRC or BRC2) through Clutch, the written and skills tests are included in your enrollment fee and you do not need to have a motorcycle permit prior to class. We also provide the motorcycles and helmets for our students but our 3rd party test takers must come with all of their own equipment.
You must possess the following at the time of testing:
- A valid motorcycle permit.
- A street legal motorcycle with brakes, headlight, brake light, turn signals, mirrors, horn, tire tread, and tires properly inflated.
- Registration (including a license plate) and motorcycle insurance.
- A full face, DOT certified helmet.
- Sturdy gloves that permit adequate operation of the hand controls.
- A snug-fitting jacket of sturdy material.
- Full length jeans or other sturdy material with no rips or holes.
- Sturdy, over the ankle footwear (canvas shoes will not work).
