You must possess the following at the time of testing:

• A valid motorcycle permit.
• A street legal motorcycle with brakes, headlight, brake light, turn signals, mirrors, horn, tire tread, and tires properly inflated.
• Registration (including a license plate) and motorcycle insurance in your name.
• A full face, DOT certified helmet.
• Sturdy gloves that permit adequate operation of the hand controls.
• A snug-fitting jacket of sturdy material.
• Full length jeans or other sturdy material with no rips or holes.
• Sturdy, over the ankle footwear (canvas shoes will not work).
